드라이브라디오는 이동 중 주변 이야기, 장소, 날씨, 뉴스와 음악을 오디오 방송처럼 이어 주는 iPhone·CarPlay 오디오 앱입니다.
시작하기
- 앱을 열고 안내에 따라 위치 권한을 선택합니다.
- 운전, 대중교통 또는 도보 이동 모드를 선택합니다.
- 방송을 시작합니다. 주변 콘텐츠를 불러오려면 인터넷 연결이 필요합니다.
- 진행 방식, 뉴스 카테고리, 내레이션 음성과 기타 프리셋은 앱 설정에서 변경할 수 있습니다.
이동 중에는 화면 조작을 피하고 출발 전에 설정을 마쳐 주세요. 운전 중에는 안전과 현지 교통 법규를 우선해야 합니다.
권한과 외부 서비스
- 위치: 앱 사용 중 주변 이야기·장소·날씨·지역 뉴스를 찾습니다. 백그라운드 위치 허용은 사용자가 시작한 방송이 활성화된 동안에만 사용되며 방송 정지 시 해제됩니다.
- 미디어 및 Apple Music: Apple Music 곡을 검색·추천·재생할 때 사용합니다.
- 마이크 및 음성 인식: 사용자가 직접 음성 사연이나 시크릿 게스트 녹음을 시작할 때만 사용합니다.
- 네트워크: Apple 지도/Weather/Music, Wikimedia, Google 뉴스에서 실시간 정보를 조회합니다. 개별 서비스 장애 시 해당 코너가 생략될 수 있습니다.

Apple Music과 Lofi BGM
Apple Music 곡을 재생하려면 미디어 접근 허용과 활성 Apple Music 구독이 필요합니다. 접근을 허용한 미구독자에게는 MusicKit의 공식 구독 오퍼 시트가 표시될 수 있습니다. 권한이 없거나 구독/서비스를 사용할 수 없는 경우 앱은 기기에서 합성한 Lofi BGM을 사용하도록 설계되어 있습니다. 별도 DriveRadio 인앱 결제나 구독은 없습니다.
자주 묻는 질문과 문제 해결
소리가 나지 않거나 볼륨이 갑자기 변합니다
- iPhone의 미디어 볼륨과 연결된 차량/블루투스 기기의 볼륨을 확인합니다.
- 다른 앱의 오디오, 전화, Siri 또는 내비게이션 안내가 방송을 중단했는지 확인합니다.
- 방송을 정지한 뒤 다시 시작합니다.
- Apple Music을 사용할 수 없는 경우 Lofi BGM이 실제로 들리는지 확인합니다.
- 멘트↔음악↔Lofi 전환에서 반복되면 아래 진단 정보와 함께 문의해 주세요.
전화·Siri·알람처럼 iOS가 방송을 중단한 경우, 사용자가 그 전에 방송을 일시 정지하지 않았다면 중단이 끝난 뒤 같은 방송을 자동으로 이어갑니다. 사용자가 직접 누른 일시 정지는 자동으로 해제하지 않습니다.
다음 버튼을 눌러도 넘어가지 않거나 무음이 계속됩니다
- 네트워크가 느리면 다음 코너를 준비하는 데 시간이 걸릴 수 있습니다.
- 진행자/게스트 멘트나 음악 중 한 번 눌러 보고, 계속 무음이면 방송을 정지한 뒤 다시 시작합니다.
- 같은 상황이 반복되면 어떤 코너에서 발생했는지, Apple Music 구독 여부, 네트워크 상태를 알려 주세요.
프리셋이나 글자가 작아 읽기 어렵습니다
- iOS 설정 → 디스플레이 및 밝기 → 텍스트 크기 또는 손쉬운 사용 → 디스플레이 및 텍스트 크기를 조정해 보세요.
- VoiceOver 또는 큰 글자에서 선택 상태를 식별하기 어렵다면 화면과 사용한 설정을 함께 알려 주세요.
주변 이야기가 나오지 않습니다
- iOS 설정 → 개인정보 보호 및 보안 → 위치 서비스 → 드라이브라디오에서 위치 접근을 확인합니다.
- 정밀 위치를 끈 경우 주변 검색 정확도가 낮아질 수 있습니다.
- 인터넷 연결을 확인하고 다른 지역으로 이동한 뒤 다시 시도합니다.
- 위치를 허용하지 않으면 위치 기반 코너가 제한됩니다.
날씨나 뉴스가 나오지 않습니다
Apple Weather, Google 뉴스 또는 네트워크가 일시적으로 응답하지 않으면 해당 코너가 생략될 수 있습니다. 잠시 후 다시 시도해 주세요.
방송에서 실제로 들은 뉴스는 오늘의 여정에서 원 게시자 링크를 확인할 수 있습니다.
저장된 녹음을 지우고 싶습니다
- 시크릿 게스트 화면에서 저장된 녹음을 삭제하거나 새 녹음으로 교체할 수 있습니다.
- 시크릿 게스트 녹음은 iCloud/기기 백업에 포함되지 않으며, 앱을 삭제하면 로컬 설정·기록과 함께 삭제됩니다.
내레이션 음성이 자연스럽지 않습니다
앱은 기기에 설치된 음성을 사용합니다. iOS 설정 → 손쉬운 사용 → 콘텐츠 말하기 → 음성에서 향상된 또는 프리미엄 음성을 다운로드한 뒤 앱 설정에서 다시 선택해 보세요.
CarPlay에서 앱이 보이지 않거나 연결되지 않습니다
CarPlay Audio를 지원하는 차량에서 iPhone의 CarPlay 연결을 확인한 뒤 차량 홈의 앱 목록을 다시 여세요. 세부 방송 옵션은 출발 전에 iPhone에서 설정하고, 차량 화면에서는 시작·정지·다음·지금 재생 중을 조작할 수 있습니다. 계속 보이지 않으면 iPhone과 차량의 CarPlay 연결을 해제한 뒤 다시 연결하고 앱과 iOS를 최신 버전으로 업데이트하세요.

DriveRadio is an iPhone and CarPlay audio app that turns nearby stories, places, weather, news, and music into a continuous audio journey.
Getting started
- Open the App and choose a location-permission option.
- Select driving, public-transit, or walking mode.
- Start the broadcast. An internet connection is required to load nearby content.
- Change presenter style, news categories, narration voices, and other presets in App settings.
Avoid interacting with the screen while driving. Configure the App before departure and always follow local traffic laws.
Permissions and external services
- Location finds nearby stories, places, weather, and regional news while the App is in use. Background-location permission is enabled only while a user-started broadcast is active and is disabled when the broadcast stops.
- Media & Apple Music is used to search, recommend, and play Apple Music songs.
- Microphone and Speech Recognition are used only when the user explicitly starts a spoken request or Secret Guest recording.
- Network access retrieves live information from Apple Maps/Weather/Music, Wikimedia, and Google News. A segment may be skipped when an individual service is unavailable.

Apple Music and Lofi background audio
Apple Music playback requires Media access and an active Apple Music subscription. Authorized non-subscribers may be shown MusicKit’s official system subscription-offer sheet. When authorization, subscription, or the service is unavailable, the App is designed to use locally synthesized Lofi background audio. DriveRadio has no separate in-app purchase or subscription.
Troubleshooting
There is no sound, or volume changes unexpectedly
- Check the iPhone media volume and the volume of the connected car/Bluetooth device.
- Check whether another app, a call, Siri, or navigation guidance interrupted audio.
- Stop and restart the broadcast.
- If Apple Music is unavailable, verify that Lofi audio is actually audible.
- If the issue repeats during narration/music/Lofi transitions, contact support with the diagnostic details below.
After an iOS-managed interruption such as a call, Siri, or an alarm, the same broadcast resumes automatically if the user had not paused it beforehand. A pause explicitly chosen by the user is never cleared automatically.
Next does not advance, or silence continues
- A slow network may delay preparation of the next segment.
- Press Next once during host/guest narration or music. If silence continues, stop and restart the broadcast.
- If it repeats, tell us which segment was active, whether Apple Music was available, and the network state.
Presets or text are too small
- Adjust iOS Settings → Display & Brightness → Text Size or the Accessibility text settings.
- If the selection state is unclear with VoiceOver or Larger Text, send a screenshot and the accessibility settings used.
Nearby stories do not appear
- Check iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → DriveRadio.
- Turning off Precise Location may reduce nearby-search accuracy.
- Check the internet connection and try again after moving to another area.
- Location-based segments are limited when location access is denied.
Weather or news is missing
The segment may be skipped when Apple Weather, Google News, or the network is temporarily unavailable. Try again later.
For news actually heard during a broadcast, open Today's Journey to follow the original publisher link.
I want to remove a saved recording
- Delete or replace a saved recording in the Secret Guest screen.
- Secret Guest recordings are excluded from iCloud and device backups. Deleting the App also removes local settings, history, and recordings.
Narration sounds unnatural
The App uses voices installed on the device. Download an enhanced or premium voice under iOS Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices, then select it again in the App.
The App does not appear or connect in CarPlay
On a CarPlay-compatible vehicle, verify the iPhone's CarPlay connection and reopen the vehicle app grid. Configure detailed broadcast options on iPhone before driving; CarPlay provides Start, Stop, Next, Now Playing, and nearby-story controls. If it still does not appear, reconnect the vehicle in iPhone CarPlay settings and update the App and iOS.
