드라이브라디오(이하 “앱”)는 위치 기반 오디오 여행 콘텐츠, 날씨, 뉴스 및 음악 기능을 제공합니다. 앱 개발자는 드라이브라디오용 사용자 계정 또는 콘텐츠 서버를 운영하지 않으며, 광고·행태 분석·앱 간 추적 SDK를 앱에 포함하지 않습니다. 다만 앱 기능을 제공하기 위해 Apple, Wikimedia 및 Google의 외부 서비스를 조회하며, 아래 정보가 해당 서비스로 전송되어 처리될 수 있습니다.
1. 처리하는 정보와 목적
위치 정보
- 앱은 주변 이야기, 장소, 날씨와 지역 뉴스를 찾기 위해 현재 위치와 정밀 좌표를 사용합니다.
- 정밀 좌표는 Apple 지도/MapKit 및 Apple Weather 기능에 사용되며, 주변 Wikipedia 문서를 찾기 위한 Wikimedia API 요청에도 포함됩니다.
- Google 뉴스의 지역 뉴스 검색에는 정밀 좌표가 아니라 좌표에서 얻은 대략적인 지역명과 선택한 뉴스 카테고리가 사용될 수 있습니다.
- 앱이 포그라운드에서 사용되는 동안 주변 콘텐츠를 준비하기 위해 위치를 갱신합니다. 백그라운드 위치 업데이트 허용은 사용자가 방송을 시작해 방송이 활성화된 동안에만 켜지며, 방송 정지·전화 중단·차량 오디오 이탈 시 해제됩니다.
- 앱 개발자는 위치 이력을 자체 서버에 수집하거나 저장하지 않습니다.
Apple Music 정보
- 앱은 MusicKit을 통해 미디어 및 Apple Music 권한 상태, 구독/재생 가능 여부를 확인하고 음악을 검색·추천·재생합니다.
- Apple Music 이용 정보는 Apple이 자신의 정책에 따라 처리합니다. 앱 개발자는 사용자의 Apple Music 계정 자격 증명을 받거나 저장하지 않습니다.
- 곡 이야기 기능을 위해 현재 곡의 제목과 아티스트명이 Wikimedia 검색어에 포함될 수 있습니다.
마이크, 음성 인식 및 로컬 녹음
- 마이크는 사용자가 음성 사연 녹음 또는 시크릿 게스트 메시지 녹음을 직접 시작한 동안에만 사용됩니다.
- 음성 사연은 Apple Speech를 이용해 글로 변환됩니다. 기기와 언어 지원 상태에 따라 음성 데이터가 Apple에서 처리될 수 있으며, 개발자는 원본 음성이나 변환문을 자체 서버로 받거나 저장하지 않습니다.
- 시크릿 게스트 녹음은 앱의 로컬 문서 저장소에 보관되며 iCloud/기기 백업에서 제외됩니다. 사용자는 앱에서 녹음을 삭제하거나 새 녹음으로 교체할 수 있고, 앱을 삭제하면 함께 삭제됩니다.
뉴스 및 콘텐츠 요청
- 주변 이야기: 정밀 좌표와 언어 설정이 Wikimedia에 전송될 수 있습니다.
- 곡 이야기: 곡 제목과 아티스트명이 Wikimedia에 전송될 수 있습니다.
- 뉴스: 선택한 뉴스 카테고리, 언어/국가 설정 및 대략적인 지역명이 Google 뉴스 요청에 포함될 수 있습니다. Google 뉴스에 정밀 좌표를 보내지 않습니다.
- 장소와 날씨: 좌표 기반 요청이 Apple 지도 및 Apple Weather에서 처리될 수 있습니다.
기기에 저장되는 정보
앱은 다음 정보를 UserDefaults 등 기기 내 저장소에 보관할 수 있습니다.
- 이동/방송 모드, 뉴스 카테고리, 자동 시작, 진행 방식, 음성 선택과 같은 설정
- 최근 재생 곡의 식별자 또는 검색 상태
- 이미 들은 장소·뉴스·콘텐츠의 식별자와 날짜
- 방문/수집 배지, 장소 이름과 관련 날짜
이 정보는 반복 재생을 줄이고 사용자의 설정과 진행 상태를 유지하기 위한 것이며 드라이브라디오 개발자 서버로 전송되지 않습니다. 들은 장소·스팟·뉴스 헤드라인 기록은 앱 시작 시 30일이 지난 항목을 저장소에서도 삭제합니다. 최근 곡 식별자와 검색 키는 각각 최대 60개로 제한됩니다. 설정, 배지와 일부 진행 정보는 변경·초기화되거나 앱을 삭제할 때까지 유지될 수 있습니다.
2. 온디바이스 AI와 음성
- 지원되는 기기에서는 Apple 온디바이스 AI가 콘텐츠 요약을 라디오 멘트로 다듬을 수 있습니다. 대본 생성을 위해 외부 AI 서버로 내용을 보내지 않습니다.
- 지원되지 않거나 사용할 수 없는 경우 앱에 포함된 템플릿을 사용합니다.
- 내레이션은 Apple의 기기 내 음성 합성 기능으로 재생됩니다.
- v1.0에서는 목소리 복제 기능이 제품에서 비활성화되어 있어 목소리 샘플이나 복제 모델을 생성·보관하지 않습니다. 이 기능을 향후 제공하기 전에 별도 동의·삭제 경로와 본 방침을 먼저 갱신합니다.
3. 이용하는 외부 서비스
- Apple 지도 / MapKit: 주변 장소 검색과 지리 정보
- Apple Weather / WeatherKit: 현재 지역의 날씨
- Apple Music / MusicKit: 음악 검색, 추천 및 재생
- Wikipedia / Wikimedia: 주변 장소와 곡 관련 이야기
- Google 뉴스: 카테고리 및 지역 뉴스 헤드라인
외부 서비스는 전송받은 정보, IP 주소, 기기/요청 정보와 서비스 로그를 각 사업자의 정책에 따라 처리할 수 있습니다. 자세한 내용은 Apple 개인정보 처리방침, Wikimedia 개인정보처리방침, Google 개인정보처리방침을 확인하세요.
4. 보관, 전송 및 보안
- 드라이브라디오 개발자는 앱용 계정 데이터베이스나 위치 이력 서버를 운영하지 않습니다.
- 앱의 외부 서비스 요청은 HTTPS를 사용합니다.
- 기기 내 정보의 보관은 iOS와 사용자 기기의 보안 설정에 따릅니다.
- 외부 서비스가 보관하는 요청 로그 등의 기간과 삭제는 각 서비스의 정책에 따릅니다.
5. 이용자의 선택과 삭제
- iOS 설정 → 개인정보 보호 및 보안 → 위치 서비스에서 위치 권한과 정밀 위치를 변경할 수 있습니다.
- iOS 설정 → 개인정보 보호 및 보안 → 미디어 및 Apple Music에서 음악 접근 권한을 변경할 수 있습니다.
- iOS 설정 → 개인정보 보호 및 보안 → 마이크/음성 인식에서 관련 권한을 변경할 수 있습니다.
- 시크릿 게스트 화면에서 저장된 로컬 녹음을 삭제하거나 교체할 수 있습니다.
- 앱 안에서 자동 시작, 방송 옵션, 뉴스 카테고리, 온디바이스 AI 사용 여부 등을 변경할 수 있습니다.
- 드라이브라디오 계정은 존재하지 않으므로 삭제할 계정도 없습니다.
- 앱을 삭제하면 앱의 로컬 컨테이너에 저장된 설정과 기록이 삭제됩니다. 외부 서비스가 이미 처리한 정보는 각 서비스의 정책과 사용자 계정 설정을 따릅니다.
6. 아동의 개인정보
앱은 적용 법률상 보호자의 동의 없이 개인정보 처리에 동의할 수 없는 아동을 대상으로 설계되지 않았습니다. 개발자는 별도 사용자 계정이나 자체 서버를 통해 아동의 개인정보를 의도적으로 수집하지 않습니다.

DriveRadio (the “App”) provides location-based audio travel content, weather, news, and music features. The developer does not operate a DriveRadio user-account system or content backend and does not include advertising, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking SDKs in the App. The App does, however, query services operated by Apple, Wikimedia, and Google. The information described below may be transmitted to and processed by those providers.
1. Information processed and why
Location
- The App uses the current location and precise coordinates to find nearby stories, places, weather, and regional news.
- Precise coordinates are used for Apple Maps/MapKit and Apple Weather features and are included in Wikimedia API requests that search for nearby Wikipedia articles.
- Google News regional queries may use a coarse place or region name derived from the coordinates and the selected news category. Precise coordinates are not sent to Google News.
- The App updates location while it is being used in the foreground to prepare nearby content. Background-location updates are enabled only after the user starts a broadcast and while that broadcast remains active; they are disabled when the broadcast stops, during a call interruption, or when the vehicle audio route is lost.
- The developer does not collect or store a location history on a developer-operated server.
Apple Music information
- Through MusicKit, the App checks Media & Apple Music authorization and subscription/playback availability, and searches, recommends, and plays music.
- Apple processes Apple Music activity under its own policies. The developer does not receive or store Apple Music account credentials.
- For the song-story feature, the current song title and artist may be included in a Wikimedia search query.
Microphone, speech recognition, and local recordings
- The microphone is used only while the user explicitly records a spoken listener request or a Secret Guest message.
- Spoken listener requests are transcribed with Apple Speech. Depending on device and language support, audio may be processed by Apple. The developer does not receive or store the original audio or transcript on a developer-operated server.
- Secret Guest recordings remain in the App's local Documents storage and are excluded from iCloud/device backups. The user can delete or replace a recording in the App, and deleting the App removes it.
News and content requests
- Nearby stories: precise coordinates and language preferences may be sent to Wikimedia.
- Song stories: song title and artist may be sent to Wikimedia.
- News: a selected category, language/country preference, and coarse region name may be included in Google News requests. Precise coordinates are not sent to Google News.
- Places and weather: coordinate-based requests may be processed by Apple Maps and Apple Weather.
Information stored on the device
The App may store the following in UserDefaults or other local app storage:
- travel/broadcast mode, news categories, auto-start, presenter style, and voice preferences;
- identifiers or search state for recently played songs;
- identifiers and dates for places, news, and other content already heard; and
- earned/visited badges, place names, and related dates.
This information reduces repetition and preserves settings and progress. It is not sent to a DriveRadio developer server. When the App starts, heard-place, spot, and headline records older than 30 days are also removed from local storage. Recent song identifiers and search keys are each capped at 60 entries. Settings, badges, and some progress information may remain until changed, reset, or the App is deleted.
2. On-device intelligence and speech
- On supported devices, Apple on-device intelligence may rewrite source summaries as radio-style narration. The script is not sent to an external AI service for generation.
- If the feature is unsupported or unavailable, the App uses bundled templates.
- Narration is played with Apple’s on-device speech synthesis.
- Voice cloning is disabled in the v1.0 product, so the App does not create or retain voice samples or clone models for that feature. Before any future release enables it, the App will add explicit consent and deletion controls and update this policy.
3. External services
- Apple Maps / MapKit: nearby-place search and geographic information
- Apple Weather / WeatherKit: local weather
- Apple Music / MusicKit: music search, recommendation, and playback
- Wikipedia / Wikimedia: nearby-place and song-related stories
- Google News: category and regional headlines
These providers may process transmitted information, IP address, device/request information, and service logs under their own policies. See the Apple Privacy Policy, Wikimedia Privacy Policy, and Google Privacy Policy.
4. Retention, transmission, and security
- The developer does not operate an account database or location-history server for the App.
- Requests to external services use HTTPS.
- Information stored on the device is protected according to iOS and the user’s device security settings.
- Retention and deletion of request logs held by external providers are governed by each provider’s policy.
5. Your choices and deletion
- Change location permission and Precise Location under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
- Change music access under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Media & Apple Music.
- Change microphone and Speech Recognition access under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Delete or replace a locally stored Secret Guest recording in the Secret Guest screen.
- Change options such as auto-start, broadcast settings, news categories, and on-device intelligence use in the App.
- DriveRadio has no user account, so there is no DriveRadio account to delete.
- Deleting the App removes settings and records in the App’s local container. Information already processed by an external service remains subject to that provider’s policies and account controls.
6. Children’s privacy
The App is not designed for children who cannot consent to data processing without a parent or guardian under applicable law. The developer does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through a separate account system or developer-operated server.
